HOME-ARTICLE is a vanguard interior design company that produces luxury bronze and silver objects for the home and garden.  HOME-ARTICLE presents new approaches to form, function and interior design.

 

Our collection embodies a commitment to uniting forms, objects and themes from Classical Art with elements found in the natural world.  For example, we admired how the Ancient Greek Minoans frequently painted the octopus on the outside their ceramic bowls. In our signature, bronze Octopus Bowl, we created an object where the octopus is situated inside the bowl, while its tentacles curl and extend over the rim.

 

The additional three products in our debut collection include a bronze garden urn that combines a traditionally shaped Greek vessel adorned with cast bronze Staghorn Fern leaves; a deer vertebra transformed into a bronze candlestick; and a pair of formal, sterling silver candlesticks composed from an arrangement of a carnivorous Sarrencia plant (also know as a swamp lily) with the leaves from a Sea Grape tree. 

 

Since each object in the collection is cast, assembled and finished by hand, every product feels individual and unique. Every product is cast from the original plant or animal found in nature, such as the Sea Grape leaves, deer vertebrae, Staghorn Fern leaves and a real octopus. The processes we use to transform these natural elements in bronze create intricately detailed versions of the original.  We are therefore able to maintain the delicate qualities and subtle details of the natural forms we employ.  For example, in the cast silver Sarrencia Candlestick, each aspect of the real plant is rendered in silver, including each vein and ripple in the leaves; the Deer Vertebra captures the weight and texture of bone; and the Octopus bowl exacts the tentacles, complete with each individual suction cup.

 

HOME-ARTICLE creates unique products that present a new, avant guard direction in interior design and utilitarian objects.  Our mission is to produce new innovative heirlooms and contemporary objects for the home and garden.  HOME-ARTICLE’s products effectively translate the fragility of nature into the permanence of silver and bronze.
